The new Maserati engine boasts a V90° architecture with a 3.0L 6-cylinder twin-turbo and featuring a dry sump. At the heart of the Nettuno is a revolutionary pre-chamber combustion system featuring twin-spark plugs, a technology derived from Formula 1. • The Pre-Chamber: Connected by a series of specially-designed holes, a combustion chamber is set between the central electrode and the traditional combustion chamber
• Lateral Sparkplug: If the Maserati engine is operating at a level that doesn’t require the pre-chamber to activate, a traditional sparkplug acts as a support to maintain constant combustion
• Twin Injection System – Direct & Indirect: The twin injection system is linked to the fuel supply pressure at 350 bar (approximately 5,076 psi) to reduce noise low down on the rev range, reduce emissions, and improve consumption
